How do I point my domain to sortedonline.uk?

Short answer: If you bought your domain through us, we point it for you. If your domain is with another provider, email support and we will add it and tell you the exact records to set.

1. We add the domain to your website and reply with the exact records to

create. You normally need a CNAME record and one or two TXT records. A CNAME record points one name to another. A TXT record proves you own the domain.

1. Add the records in your provider's DNS settings. Leave your email records

(called MX records) alone, so your email keeps working.

1. Reply to tell us the records are added. We check them and finish the setup.

What to expect

We check your records as soon as you tell us. Verification is often quick, but it can take up to 48 hours, depending on your provider. We build your website while we set up your domain, and it goes live as soon as the records work. If your provider is Cloudflare, set the CNAME record to DNS only (grey cloud). A proxied record (orange cloud) stops the website loading.
